HAUG compressors are used to recover SF6 gas that is inside of the high voltage gas insulated switch gears (short GIS).
Application
SF6 gas is used to insulate high volta- ge switch gears and transformers. SF6 gas is one of the most environmental dangerous gases. It has global war- ming potential that is 23,000 times big- ger than CO2. Before open and main- tain the equipment, all the SF6 gas has to be recovered by service devices.
The gas pressure in the high voltage switch gears are usually 5 to 8 bar(g). The duty of the “service device” is to collect the gas and to recover all the gas down to vacuum. On the di- scharge side the storage of the gas is done at liquid phase. SF6 gas gets liquid at around 40 bar(g), depen- ding on the ambient temperature.

Oil-free and dry running – HAUG Sauer is the pioneer for oil-free compressors, using own bearings and special materials for dry-running operation. There is no oil at all in the compressor.
Technical gas-tight: The compressors are hermetically sealed and thus environmental friendly. The lea- kage rate is smaller than 0.001 mbar l/s over the whole operation-time. No wearing of sealing elements.
Compact and efficient – HAUG compressors are working with high suction pressure, have lower power consumption, higher flow rate and are more compact compressors.
