Description

The JR-1 Heating Kit provides a clean, simple and quick way to apply heat to cylinders containing SF6 or other gases. Three flexible 500-watt JR-1 Heating Panels for attachment and 1m power cord and plug-in to 220V power source. A thermostat is designed into the heater and cut out power to prevent overheating when temperature is above 55℃. A heating blanket is provided for use in windy environments and to increase heater efficiency.

• Low Watt Density-The heating panels are designed to operate at less than 0.31w/cm² to maintain a stable temperature over the entire surface
• Thermal Protection Safety-For maximum safety, a thermostat will cut out power when temperature is above 55℃
• SF6 Cylinder heating-SF6 is usually in the form of liquid when stored in ø23.5cm cylinder under pressure. The high voltage transmission lines are equipped with SF6 breakers for the arc quenching upon switching on and off. It is the service men carry out the maintenance using a SF6 reclaiming cart to evacuate cylinder that connected with the breaker. The SF6 gas flows through the breaker and reclaiming cart upon opening the valve. The temperature inside the cylinder starts to drop dramatically and the heating panels must be attached to compensate the heat loss during vaporization.

* Note: JR-1 can efficiently and easily remove SF6 from the cylinder to prevent back-fill.

Specifications

Keep the temperature of the cylinder at or above 6.5℃ and flow rate at 1.128kg/min when surrounding air is 6.5℃

Attach the heating panels to the cylinder and keep the temperature at or above 6.5℃ and flow rate at 1.134kg/min when surrounding air is -32℃

Attach the heating panels to the cylinder and keep the temperature at or above 10℃ and flow rate at 1.134kg/min when surrounding air is -42℃

JR-1 can be used onto cylinders that contain other gas besides SF6
